Mission Statement
At The KOZ Foundation, we believe in the combined power of medical science, arts, and community to promote mental health. Our mission is to pioneer innovative pathways that integrate the promise of medical science, the healing essence of the arts, and the strength of supportive environments. Innovation often lights the path toward mental wellness. We support projects that empower individuals to learn, heal and strengthen mental resilience.
About
Julie Hersh Kosnik is a philanthropist who has reinvented her approach to giving. Her past work teaches her the key to individual and community health starts at the seedling level. When problems are small and manageable, creative action heals. That action can be the right science applied at the right time, the balm of laughter or access to nature or the arts. Often the human bond of community promotes individual resilience. Julie and her children, Daniel and Rachel Hersh, are committed to supporting causes that lead to community well-being and long term health.
